Health Is Personal

One thing I’ve learned throughout my career is that knowing what to do usually isn’t what holds people back.

Health information is everywhere. The challenge is putting it into practice—and making it stick—amid demanding jobs, family responsibilities, and everyday life.

And some of the barriers we face are less obvious. A careless comment, a childhood experience, or years of trying to follow plans that didn’t fit can gradually shape what we believe about ourselves and what we think we’re capable of.

I understand that because I carried a story of my own for years—but that’s a TED Talk for another day. That story changed how I saw myself and ultimately shaped the way I coach and teach.

I believe sustainable change comes from more than following a plan. It comes from developing the confidence and self-trust to make healthier choices, adapt when life throws you a curveball, and keep moving forward.

Whether I’m coaching one person, leading a workshop, or designing an employee wellness program, my approach is practical, compassionate, and grounded in meeting people where they are.

My Journey

My path to health coaching wasn’t a straight line.

Before becoming a health coach, I spent more than 15 years in the corporate space, partnering with employers and healthcare organizations to develop strategies and programs designed to improve population health. I loved solving problems, building solutions, and helping organizations create healthier workplaces.

Over time, I realized that I wanted to be closer to the transformation—to work directly with the people whose lives were changing, not only the programs designed to support them.

Today, I bring together my experience in organizational leadership, HR, workplace wellness, nutrition, fitness, and health coaching. This combination allows me to understand both sides of the equation: what organizations are trying to accomplish and what people realistically need to make meaningful changes in their lives.
